Members of the HRECC’s Telecommunications Emergency Response Team (TERT), took part in the Harrisonburg Police Department sponsored active shooter training this morning.

This training assists in preparing public safety personnel for active violence events and ensures that they have the skills to properly respond in the event of an actual emergency of this magnitude. “Training with law enforcement, fire and emergency medical personnel in this type of setting is invaluable to establishing our ability to provide the highest level of service to the community and first responders,” said Chad Siever, HRECC TERT Leader.

Thanks to the HPD for their work in coordinating the training.
